SCOPE

EVALUATION:

A.        EVALUATION OF THE SYSTEMS IN PLACE.

B.        ISSUE A LETTER REPORT THAT MAKES RECOMMENDATIONS AS TO THE  MOST COST EFFECTIVE REPLACEMENT HEATING AND HOT WATER SYSTEM, OR SYSTEMS, FOR THE BUILDING. THE EVALUATION SHALL INCLUDE THE SHORT TERM COSTS AS WELL AS ASSESSMENT OF EXPECTED SERVICE LIFE.

C.        COST ESTIMATES FOR THE VARIOUS OPTIONS.

POSSIBLE REPLACEMENT OPTIONS:

REPLACE THE EXISTING HEATING AND HOT WATER SYSTEM WITH NEW MODERN HIGH EFFICIENCY EQUIPMENT THAT SERVICES THE ENTIRE BUILDING AND INCORPORATES CONTROLS THAT ALLOW INDIVIDUAL CONTROL OF THE SEPARATE AREAS THROUGH THE IMPLEMENTATION OF "ZONES".

REPLACE THE EXISTING HEATING AND HOT WATER SYSTEM WITH NEW MODERN HIGH EFFICIENCY EQUIPMENT FOR EACH SECTION OF THE BUILDING.  CONTROLS SHALL BE LOCATED AT A CENTRAL LOCATION THAT WILL ALLOW FOR THE CONTROL OF EACH SECTION OF THE BUILDING INDIVIDUALLY.

OTHER OPTIONS MAY INCLUDE VARIANTS OF THE ABOVE TWO POSSIBLE SOLUTIONS AS WELL AS REUSING SOME OR ALL OF THE EXISTING SYSTEMS.

DESIGN:

PROVIDE PLANS AND SPECIFICATIONS AS REQUIRED SO THE OWNER CAN PROCURE BIDS FOR THE REPLACEMENT OF THE HEATING AND HOT WATER SYSTEMS.  IT IS UNDERSTOOD THAT PLANS AND SPECIFICATIONS MUST CONFORM TO THE REQUIREMENTS OF ALL APPLICABLE LOCAL, STATE AND FEDERAL PROCUREMENT LAWS.

CONSTRUCTION ADMINISTRATION:

REVIEW SUBMITTALS. MAKE TWO VISITS TO THE SITE, ONE DURING THE CONSTRUCTION AND ONE AT THE COMPLETION OF THE WORK.  WHILE ON SITE THE WORK SHALL BE REVIEWED FOR COMPLIANCE WITH THE PROJECT SPECIFICATIONS.  IF DEVIATIONS ARE FOUND GENERATE A LIST OF ITEMS THAT ARE NOT IN COMPLIANCE FOR THE OWNER.

TEMPORARY HEAT AND HOT WATER

GIVE THE OWNER ESTIMATED COSTS ASSOCIATED WITH THE IMPLEMENTATION OF TEMPORARY HEAT AND HOT WATER.  COORDINATE THE IMPLEMENTATION OF TEMPORARY HEAT AND HOT WATER.

NOTE: THE EXISTING BOILER AND HOT WATER SYSTEM IS BEING REMOVED UNDER A SEPARATE CONTRACT.
